What makes PSA special to you?
PSA has been the perfect place for me to not only learn more about my Filipino culture and hone in on it. But it has been the place to develop and grow as a person in general. A lot of the people I’ve met in PSA have become some of my closest friends, all of my AKAs included. Being in PSA for four years and being part of the office board twice, I’ve done things I never imagined I would do, like cultural dancing on that Battle stage, traveling around the Midwest, and dancing on stage for FCN. Overall, PSA has unlocked my own potential in more ways than one by teaching me how to be a leader, a kuya, a friend, and a Filipino-American.
What would you do differently if you knew that no one was judging you?
I would either be in a constant state of eating or in a constant state of sleep. Somehow I’m always hungry or tired, but never both at the same time.
If you had a warning label, what would yours say?
Caution: Awkward puns and constant pop culture references ahead
