The Filipino community is uplifted by the principle of bayanihan, or working together as a community to achieve a common goal. FACT has had the honor for 25 years to make professional resources accessible and empower the community that has provided countless donations of time and money. The Annual FACT Conference would not be possible without the generosity of our sponsors.
It is a truly unique opportunity to participate in our 25th anniversary of FACT. We began in 1992 as a humble conference at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a respectable-sized congregation; now in 2017 we anticipate our largest gathering of delegates in all of our history.
Looking back at our growth reminds us that we would not be where we are without our sponsors. This year we anticipate +1500 delegates to venture from +25 Universities across the United States and the Philippines to celebrate this enormous 3-day conference. Filipino Americans Coming Together represents the most prodigious gathering of Filipinxs, Filipinx-Americans, Asian American & Pacific Islanders in the Midwest. It has been awarded the Susan Yung Maul Award for Outstanding Asian & Asian American Programs for more than 5 years now.
We focus on professional youth development and in providing our delegates with tools that will allow them to conquer challenges in the future. We organize a variety of workshops tailored to the specific needs of our delegate population. In the past this has ranged from workshops for healthcare professionals, literary professionals, dancers, ... the whole spectrum of professions. We believe that for a community to be cohesive and successful, we must support each other in all our endeavors. A community that fails to celebrate those who comprise and contribute to it will ultimately prevent the highest achievements of its members. In the spirit of bayanihan we must support each other.
With this in mind, we request that you join our conquest and help us support each other. We have a lot to organize, so there are plenty of ways for you to get involved! We qualify as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, therefore your donation may be written as a tax-deductible donation. If you would like to make a donation or learn more about our sponsorship program please contact our co-coordinators, Chelsea Tuvilla & Maria Climaco at firstname.lastname@example.org.
We appreciate interest from any personnel who wish to be involved and sincerely hope that you seize this opportunity to participate in something grander than what we can experience on any given day.
