Adrianne Pearl Gimenez

Year in school: Sophomore
Major: Business

Who are you? What can you tell us about yourself?
I fall asleep to thunderstorms. I wake up to see the sunrise. I like to live simply just enjoying every minute of it. I share my passion for life with others by making other people’s day. I’m quite awkward so don’t be surprised when I say something completely outrageous or somehow end up in the ER room with people I just met at 3 a.m in the morning.

Why did you join PSA and what made you stay?

I always knew I wanted to join a Philippine Student Association. It made me feel a little bit closer to where I came from, my Filipino-American household. What made me stay was the energy and friendliness everyone has shown me. People would post on my wall telling me how nice it was to meet me. And they would even take the initiative to hang out with me to get to know me better. It feels good to be in PSA and that great feeling I got is what made me stay.

Why did you become an officer and what plans do you have in store for PSA next year?

I became an officer so I could really do something with PSA. I didn’t want to be just a general member but a member whose ideas and passions could be put into action for everyone. Next year look forward to tutoring, late night canning, getting in touch with our school in Philippines, and much more! I want members next year to know more, care more, and serve more.

What advice do you have for others?

Take every day as if it’s your first day. Fall in love with everything again. Everyone is a new person to talk to, a new experience. See the beauty in the simple things. Make someone’s day.
