Year in school: Sophomore
Major: Jazz Studies – Trumpet
Who are you? What can you tell us about yourself?
I like to make music, constantly listening and playing jazz songs. I also enjoy going to shows at the Canopy Club, Iron Post and Krannert. I’ve recently started doing yoga regularly, and also write my own jazz tunes.
Why did you join PSA and what made you stay?
I joined to meet new people and get involved around the campus. One of the big reasons I stay is because of my great AKA’s who are always there for me.
Why did you become an officer and what plans do you have in store for PSA next year?
I became an officer because I am intrigued by the opportunities to affect people. Some of the people who helped me the most when I was new and getting acclimated were officers from the year before. I want to make PSA’s community stronger and more aware of who we are as people.
What advice do you have for others?
Keep an open mind, never be quick to judge. Sometimes what you are looking for is hiding in plain sight right in front of you, and we can just be too ignorant to see it.
