Describe your Filipino family/community outside of PSA. What cultural experiences have you shared with your family/within your community?

Outside of PSA, I don’t really have that much exposure to Filipino culture other than food. My parents/Lola don’t really speak Tagalog at home. Before college, we didn’t have a large Filipino community, so there weren’t any clubs or anything to do.

Do you have Ates/Kuyas or Adings, and how have those relationships changed your PSA experience? What do your AKAs mean to you?

My Ate Jaya was my first friend in college, so I’d definitely say that she shaped my experience in PSA and I’m super thankful<3 The AKA system allows people to find a home away from home, no matter where you come from, and that’s what I love about PSA.
