Bowling Social/AKA Requests

When: Tuesday, September 14th. 7:00-9:00PM

Where: Illini Union Bowling Lanes (In the basement of the Union)

Strike Tuesday the 14th off your calendar for PSA’s Bowling Social! Even if you’re terribly bad, super good, or have no intention of bowling, make it out for a fun night.

ALSO!!!

Wondering when you could be part of the AKA Program? Well the time is getting closer! Be sure to come to this event because we’re opening up the AKA program soon! You’ll be able to let us know a little bit more about you so we can get you an Ate, Kuya, o…r Ading! You’ll also be able to send in your requests!

Make sure you’re a paid member for PSA so you can be involved in the AKA Program. You can bring your membership fee’s to the event!

Where: Meet a the Illini Union Bowling Lanes (in basement of the Union)
When: 7:00 p.m. SHARP! Can’t make it on time? Then drop by!
What: Bring $5 for unlimited bowling and free shoe rental
**There are only 6 lanes so get there early!

Why: So you can kick back and relax. And get an accidental strike to make your day! =D And make AKA requests! =D

Kickin It for Canned Goods!

When: Friday, September 17th. 4:00-6:00PM

Where: Complex Baseball Fields (Corner of Lincoln and Florida)

Don’t you miss the good old days of playing kick ball at recess? Well here’s your chance to play this beloved sport AND help out a good cause! Come join us at Kickin It for Canned Goods at the Complex Baseball Fields on Lincoln and Florida! Admission fee is $3 or 3 canned goods. All proceeds will go to Illinois Wesley Food Pantry.

Wesley Evening Food Pantry has provided a week’s worth of groceries to over 14,500 people in Champaign County. Their membership in the Eastern Illinois Foodbank makes it possible to feed each person for a week for only $6.50.

Even if you don’t want to play, you can still come out, support the cause, and cheer on your favorite team!

Pick a Team Captain and have them register your team at the cube today! :D

Hang Out with MayA: Swimming!

Where: ARC Pool (201 East Peabody Drive, Champaign, IL)

When: Friday, September 10th. 4:00 to 7:00PM

Hey guys and gals! What are you doing this Friday? Hanging out with MayA? Omg you are? Cool! Join me and our gorgeous Awareness chair, Nikki, for swimming at the ARC pool! You can just chill out, learn to swim with Nikki, and just kick it with your fellow PSA members! :D So PSA-ers, look for me in a lime green shirt in the ARC lobby, and we’ll have a smashing/fabulous/exciting/fantastic time!

Camera/Video Scavenger Hunt

Hi PSAAAA, get pumped for our CAMERA/VIDEO SCAVENGER HUNT! (RSVP GOOGLE DOC MANDATORY)

This is not an event where you look for objects but where you fulfill some fun, challenging, silly tasks using your camera as proof. Group members, be prepared to do some crazy challenges for points involving Monopoly money, whipped cream, a car, a donut, a cop and more ;P (this will make sense when you receive the task sheet.) The bigger the groups the better. We will review your pictures/videos after and add up points to determine the winner! Bonus points for creativity, kidnapping others, finishing points and more!

WHAT: The scavenger hunt of your life, food and the feeling of a champion

WHERE: Meet @ AACC: Asian American Cultural Center (1210 West Nevada Street, MC-149, Urbana, IL) [It is nearby Busey Evans, an Espresso Royale and Smith Hall]

WHEN: Saturday, September 11th, 2010. 12 PM SHARP! Event ends around 3PM.

WHAT TO BRING: Your camera with a video option! And a cord that will connect it to a TV or computer (if you have it).

HOW: You must RSVP to do this event since groups will be created ahead of time for your advantage!

WHY: A good way to familiarize yourself with campus and a good way to loosen up and get to know everybody.

If you feel a little nervous because you don’t know a lot of people that well this event makes it easy to get to know your group members and create some lasting friendships.

Freshmen Dinner

Hello from your social chair Roe =]!  Need something really good to eat?  Seriously… the best buffet on campus is where the Freshmen Dinner will be:

It has sushi, oysters, crab Rangoon, and more for ALL YOU CAN EAT! Don’t let the title fool you. This event is essential for all class years to come to! (Brian: It’s kind of a big deal =O) We’ll be initially divided into tables by class so REPRESENT YOUR CLASS and make it out! Though we still hope to see a lot of 2014 kids and new members there considering, your class IS on the name! It’s a good way to get to know your class and the other classes. Rides are provided to Chinatown Buffet!

WHAT: The craziest dinner you will ever have. (Brian: EVER.)

WHERE: Meet at Circle Drive of the Illini Union (Entrance facing W. Green Street). Then, you will be divided into cars and shipped to Chinatown Buffet (713 West Marketview Drive, Champaign, IL)

WHEN: Thursday, September 9th, 2010.  5:00 PM to 8:30 PM

WHAT TO BRING: Meal+Tax+Tip= $13 ALL YOU CAN EAT! (Add in a soda = $15)

WHAT TO DO: Please pay your driver during your adventure there.

WHY: This is the event that can spark life-long friendships. You do not want to miss out!
